Seeing is believing

As every skipper knows and regardless of how big the vessel, clear windows have a big part to play if you want to sail safety in bad weather. Our in-house department of advanced technologies has developed a system that actively dehumidifies windows and air inside the wheelhouse. Highly effective, this system also showcases the MAR-IX goal to increase sustainability wherever possible. MAR-IX defrosters first heat up the air before cooling it down again, causing the air to be dehumidified. In addition to reducing humidity levels – and stopping the windows from fogging – the temperature in the wheelhouse remains at a constant level.  MAR-IX defrosters are available in various types, capacities and 24 Vdc and 230 Vac power supplies, and can be equipped with electric heating. The unit is controlled by a separate control panel. Install a MAR-IX communication system and use the defroster as a fan coil unit when the defroster function is inactive. Waste not, want not.
